TRE 30 UN LO GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

3rd May, 1920.

My Lord,

With reference to Your Lordship's despatch No.49 of the 6th February, 1920, on the subject of the retirement of Mr. T. A. Howe of the Royal Irish Constabulary, I have the honour to inform you that this Government is prepared to pay to Mr. Howe the difference in his pension which has arisen through the deduction of the period when he was seconded for service in Hongkong from his pensionable service in the Royal Irish Constabulary, and I should be glad if you would be so good as to instruct the Crown Agents for the Colonies to pay the sum required once a year to the authorities of the Royal Irish Constabulary as long as the pension is continued.

I have the honour to be,

My Lord,

Your Lordship's most obedient,

humble servant,

7.8. Stubbs

Governor,&c.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

VISCOUNT MILNER, G.C.B.,
